Stitch 'N' Bitch meet monthly on the 1st Saturday at Wollombi Tennis Club.
World wide there has been a revival in knitting and stitching. This may have something to do with the turmoil the world is in and people retreat to the home and look for tangible activitie4s and are drawn to things that are personal and comforting. Stitch N' Bitch started in New York after September 11.
There are now S & B groups worldwide with18 in Australia. They meet at various venues and take along knitting, crochet, quilting, embroidery etc. They knit personal projects for charity. Beginners are helped. Everyone is welcome. The Wollombi group was formed in March, 2005 and now has over 60 participants and many visitors from interstate and overseas.
