We have two special topics for this month as follows;

  1. Carol Anderson, the Captain of the Communications Brigade to coming to talk to us about the interface between Comms and us on the fire ground. Obviously the clarity and efficiency of communications is vital to effective and safe firefighting and the more we can learn the better. Please remember that it is not only the crew leaders that use the radios, everybody should be as proficient as possible in their use.
  2. Father Graham Jackson is coming to talk to us about Critical Incident Stress. Again this topic is of great importance to us and it is vital that we understand how we may be effected and what is available to us. Please remember that we are in an area where it is likely that we could well be the first on the scene of a very distressing incident. The better prepared we are  before we are faced with a nasty incident, the less likely it is that we will suffer resultant harm.

I would like everyone to make a effort to come to this training, not only as the topics are extremely important and relevant, but also because we have people giving up their time to help us.

Normally training starts at 1400, however as this month we are having a BBQ lunch at 1300 before training.

To facilitate catering could you please contact Rob Tulloch.
