Please see the attached form (at the bottom), which is also available from Wollombi General Store.

To assist in the preparation of a group submission to the exhibition of the Draft LEP 2009 Wollombi Valley Progress Association would appreciate your feedback to basic issues of concern contained in the Draft Plan.

Please return completed forms to Wollombi General Store.

Progress still would like as many people as possible to write a submission to Council on the plan, but this feedback form will form another avenue for Progress to pursue and gives you the opportunity to make your thoughts known either in support of the proposed E3 zoning or against it (in favour of RU2).

To make a direct submission:

Through the online submission form exhibition@cessnock.nsw.gov.au; or
Dropped into Council's Administration Centre at 62-78 Vincent Street Cessnock; or
Addressed to Cessnock City Council "Exhibition 2009" PO Box 152 CESSNOCK  NSW  2325
Submissions should be received by Council no later than Monday 12 October 2009.

The DRAFT plan is still on display at Wollombi General Store or at other locations not clearly mentioned on their website http://www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/online/exhibition/lep

Personally...

I also suggest that you write directly to ALL councillors who will be voting on this and make your views known directly to them.

The only Ward A councillor that showed up (to BOTH public meetings as well as the Progress meeting) was Labor's James Hawkins. The absence of the other two - Liberal and Independent - was well noted and will be remembered at the next election. On behalf of the Wollombi Valley community I'd like to thank James who not only walked into a potential s**tfight, but did it three times with grace and temerity. Well done Councillor.

Peter Firminger - for transparency, I am a member of Cessnock-Kurri/NSW Greens
