Jim Belshaw in Armidale commented on the February Catchment News story about the 55th anniversary of the 1955 flood in Maitland to bring to light (at least to me) three silent home movies held by the National Film and Sound Archive, made available on the AustralianScreen Website.
Back in 2005 I found a marker of the flood level at what I imagine is the old school building in Iona, north of the Hunter River.
Of course now Jim will get this post back on Twitter and we'll get into web-vortex we can can never escape from...
