Development of Cessnock Community Plan

Cessnock City Council is committed to sharing information with the community and, just as importantly, listening to community views.
Cessnock City Council is now embarking on a comprehensive program of community consultation and engagement activities in the development of Cessnock's Community Plan. The Cessnock 2020 Community Plan will be the community's plan and will become the blueprint for Council's activities over the next 10 years to ensure the Cessnock community continues to thrive and prosper into the future.
Throughout March, independent facilitators will be conducting several community workshops which all members of the Cessnock community are invited to attend. These will be interactive sessions to identify the challenges you think our community will be faced with over the next 10 years and any strategies you think may overcome these challenges.
The details for the upcoming workshops are:
- Cessnock - 6pm, Wednesday 3rd March at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre
- Weston - 7pm, Thursday 4th March at Weston Civic Centre
- Pokolbin - 6pm, Tuesday 9th March at Pokolbin Community Hall
- Branxton - 6pm, Thursday 11th March at Branxton Catholic School Hall
- Wollombi - 10am, Saturday 13th March at Wollombi Community Hall
- Kurri Kurri - 6pm, Tuesday 16th March at Kurri Kurri Community Centre
- Mulbring - 6pm, Wednesday 17th March at Mulbring Community Hall
- Millfield - 6pm, Thursday 18th March at Millfield Community Hall
These workshops will provide the community with an opportunity to have a say and provide input into the future direction for Cessnock.
