GUM BALL EVENT - WOLLOMBI

Question:

Councillor Davey enquired on behalf of the community of Wollombi with regard to a proposed Gum Ball scheduled to be held at Wollombi on 11-13 April 2008. There is an advertisement for this event in the IMAG magazine containing Council's logo which would indicate that Council has approved the event. There was also an advertisement and write-up in the Advertiser advising people how to buy tickets. The Wollombi community has not been consulted on the matter. Is there a Development Application with Council, has Council approved the DA and what action can Council take when organisations use Council's logo without authority.

Answer:

The Acting Director Corporate & Regulatory Services advised he would take the question on notice and advise Councillors.
