Hi all and belated Happy New Year,
It's nice to be able to post to this list again without it being bad news. Please feel free to post news and events listings on the Wollombi Website, the Wollombi NSW Facebook group or just send them to me via webboy@wollombi.nsw.au and I'll take care of it for you. This includes newsletters from your organisation if you so desire (we currently publish the Wollombi Landcare Newsletter and OON along with Broke's The Cockfighter on the Broke website). We now have 409 members!
If you would like to advertise your business on Wollombi Valley Online (example here) please let me know. Once I gauge interest I will discuss the prices, sizes (probably what is there now 160 x 250) and the ad rotation rules etc. Ads will run throughout the website. Funds raised will help pay for the hosting of the (currently unfunded) website and printing the next edition of the Wollombi Valley Business Directory. The normal business listings will remain free as promised.
Four news stories follow the events, but first, for the many people that have asked me if WAGE could do a local screening of GASLAND, here it is - two in fact.
Gasland - A film by Josh Fox- Wollombi Dance Hall
Date: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 January 2011 at 5:30 pm
Will and Cate Sadler have very kindly agreed to show the film in their hall on the evenings of the 29th and 30th January. This will include a presentation followed by a question and answer session. Seats are limited and we will be asking for voluntary donations on the night toward the cost of hiring the film. Please book your places at Wollombi General Store.

Wollombi Markets on Australia Day 2011

The Australia Day Market will be held on the Wednesday (26th).
NOTE: The Easter market is on Saturday 23rd, due to Monday 25th April being ANZAC Day as well as Easter Monday.

The Dog Logs
Date: Friday 28-Jan-11 at 8:30 pm
Live theatre at its most intimate. 11 monologues by dogs performed by Alan Glover, Bob Philippe and Ross Fletcher. Some comic, some tragic - all are ultimately about humans.
