Hunter Valley horse owners warned about mosquitoes

The death of a horse in the Upper Hunter from an usual neurological disease has prompted a Scone vet to urge horse owners to take precautions against mosquito bites. Dr Deb Racklyeft has treated about ten cases of the mosquito borne disease in the past month with a number of horses around Maitland also affected. There has been one local horse death as a result on the disease.
