Hi Everyone, There are three items of update.

1. Bernard Guy

Bernard died peacefully on Wednesday morning at 9am. His son and daughter, Simon and Janie, were with him as well as Peter Fewtree who has been looking after him for the last 9 months. I went around in the afternoon and spent time with Simon and Janie and played a game of Petanque with 7 of his close friends who have been playing an afternoon game with Bernard for the past 9 months. We have finalised and confirmed the Funeral arrangements.

His funeral will be at the Laguna Community Hall at 1pm on Saturday the 13th followed by a wake at Bernard's place (the little shed alongside Caper's Cottage). The wake is BYO food and drink.

His body will be cremated on Monday the 15th at the new crematorium in the Northern Suburbs Cemetery at Macquarie Park (opposite the old Channel 10 building on Delhi Road) at 11.15am. It is expected that the Crematorium service will be close family and friends and fairly short although quite respectful.

Bernard and his family want me to conduct the funeral which I am honoured to do.  If anyone has one of Bernard's works in their house please feel free to bring it along as a form of tribute to probably the last craftsman in his craft.  Also, if available, it would be appreciated if people could bring along a vase of flowers in order to lighten up the hall.

2. Ann Adams

Ann is now out of the High Dependency Unit at John Hunter Hospital.  She is still fairly weak but recovering and has expressed her thanks to everyone who has sent their best wishes and prayers.  Cheryl O'Donahue will probably be visiting her on Saturday and will let me know what the progress is.

3. The CD from Warkworth

I received an email from Errol Long to say that if anyone wants to purchase a copy of the CD please contact him by phone on 02 6572 2047 or send an email to errol.long@bigpond.com

With many thanks,

Graham
