Seeing as how we're open every day (or pretty close), we've taken the bold managerial decision to name our traditional open day more appropriately. It's now Wollombi Museum's HERITAGE DAY.

As you'll see from the attached flier, it's on this coming Sunday, and it will again be informative, and much fun. Try to make it by 10.30 so as not to miss the schoolchildren, who always steal the show. And of course please mention it to friends, family - whoever.

A special event this year will be the official opening at 11.30 of our new agricultural display, behind, and accessed through, the Museum. We're indebted to the late Bill Noyce for his donation of the stripper and winnower, which have pride of place, and to all who contributed financially, and in kind.

We're also expanding into the Cultural Centre buildings and grounds this year, and we're sure that all interested locals will be delighted to see how well the two areas present and work together.

With the Blessing of the Bikes also happening this Sunday at 11 am at the Tavern, it will be a big day.

Paul
