The Training Manager
We would like to inform you of our First Aid & Fire training courses and facilities.
First Aid Fire & Safety Pty Ltd. train all categories of workplace first aid, including "Manage First Aid in the Workplace".
We deliver "Apply First Aid" (Senior) course in a one or two day format.
Also, candidates can gain their first aid qualifications via the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment process.
- The two day format requires the candidates to attend the course on both days and the learning process
is conducted over these two days.
- The one day course requires the candidate to complete a short home study questionnaire , prior to attending the one day course.
- Both one and two day formats cover the same knowledge and skills.
- First Aid qualification through the RPL process takes about 4 hours at the assessment and is for those
candidates who are well grounded with the skills and knowledge required to hold first aid qualification.
This can be because they have attended first aid courses before and have retained the required skills and
knowledge. Or, it could be for example, they hold, or have held, nursing/paramedic style skills and knowledge.
RPL requires the candidate to demonstrate they have the required skills and knowledge and for the assessor to gather and consolidate this information.
This process is of great value to employee and employer as the time spent away from the workplace is reduced.
Experience has shown that the RPL process for the candidate who has the required knowledge and skills takes less than the four hours, however, relaying new information and brushing up on some areas of learning, four hours is the normal length of time.
Prices for the WorkCover approved, Nationally accredited , "Apply first aid" (senior) certificate.
- Two day course $140 / candidate ( 8 candidates minimum, $100/candidate above the minimum 8)
- One day course $ 110 / candidate ( 7 candidates minimum, $90 / candidate above the minimum 7)
- RPL Process $ 90 / candidate ( 6 candidates minimum, $85 / candidate above the minimum 6)
Fire training
If your premises were to be involved in a fire or smoke incident do your staff have the skills to put out the fire or know when the risks are too great to fight the fire, and that evacuation of all occupants is required.
OH&S require businesses to have a fire warden.
We can instruct your staff in the roles of the Fire Warden, Fire Awareness and Fire Extinguishing.
- Fire Training $400 / session maximum 10 candidates.
