Guntis Jansons
Born to Latvian parents at the end of WW2 arriving in Australia in 1950. Completed high school in Victoria and went to art school at RMIT studying graphic design.
Worked initially in TV studios as a graphic designer and then switched to advertising and worked as a junior Art Director working up to Senior Art Director for a lot of the larger advertising agencies.
First one man show of paintings at Hogarth Galleries in 1975. Continued exhibiting over the years while still working freelance Art Directing until 1990.
