Stones Throw got its name from its magnificent sandstone structure. And the fact that it is a stones throw from Sydney. It's an easy 100 - minute drive that takes you along the wonderful Great North Road. Built by convicts 200 years ago, the road winds gently through the picturesque Lower Hunter Valley and means your holiday starts before you even arrive at the house.
You may decide to stop at one of the local wineries along the way or pick up some locally grown fruit or veg at one of the many roadside stalls. You can stretch your legs, have a yarn with the locals and experience life at a more relaxing pace.
Stones Throw itself is situated just 4km from the historic town of Wollombi and, from its gentle hillside perch, enjoys stunning views across the Valley of Laguna.
