TAFE Hunter Institute

Hunter Institute serves Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Central Coast regions of NSW.

Hunter's 15 campuses enrol over 50,000 students in courses across the spectrum of TAFE NSW studies: access and general education; arts and media; business and computing; engineering; health and community services; primary industries, construction and environment; tourism and hospitality; and transport.

Campuses offer a broad range of studies, with some adopting a specialist focus, such as equine studies at Scone; art and design at Hunter Street; hospitality and hairdressing at Hamilton; viticulture, mining and heavy transport industries at Kurri Kurri; transport at Glendale; and child studies at Glendale. Flexible learning is also a feature of many of the courses offered.

Hunter Institute has strong links with both the school education system and the university sector, and offers a comprehensive range of education and training pathways. It responds quickly and positively to meet the needs of business and industry, and is able to develop customised courses for delivery to external clients.
